Bound to make you double up with laughter, having been described as "A kaleidoscope of punch lines", this year's production from the comical Austrian genius "Hermann Bahr" is set to blow you away. Salzburg Street Theatre is set to hit the stage on July 24th until August 13th 2008.

The street theater may never have come about at all, if it weren't for Schuh's passion to see his idea work. The Culture Society rejected this idea and it wasn't until 1970 that the street theater materialized. Who in 1957 had already been entertaining the idea of performing in the street, the idea of the theater stemmed from Oskar Fritz Schuh. Where tourists stay in the abundant Salzburg hotels and Salzburg apartments, the street theater has always taken place in the heart of Salzburg. The history of the Salzburg street theater is varied and interesting.
